Privacy and Cookies
We will now endeavour to concisely and simply explain what personal data is collected through our website and how that data is used.
We collect the information our users submit through the contact forms as well as metadata about each submission, such as time/date of submission and browser used . We delete contact form data from our wordpress database when we’ve seen and responded to it, which is usually a few days after receiving it. Sometimes we retain the information in a separate, external database for future reference. We use Google reCAPTCHA to stop spam coming through the contact forms. Users who fill out a contact form are thus subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
We use Google Analytics to keep track of our users across our own site and how they interact with our content. Most of this data is used in an aggregated form so an individual user can’t be identified by us and we anonymise the IP addresses as they are collected by Google Analytics to ensure data privacy. We use a cookie to stop the cookie consent pop up bar appearing once you have read and closed it. Believe me, the irony isn’t lost on us either.
